Sadly our family lost Mr. Andy Brady yesterday. He was a dear friend and companion to our mum for about 40 years. Although Andy was born in Scotland 90 years ago, he spent most of his adult life in Canada however he held on to his Scottish heritage throughout the years, (we still had a hard time deciphering his brogue accent) Andy had a gentleman’s fashion style always looking dapper in his vest and tie no matter the occasion. He was a big part of our family Andy will be deeply missed. Rest In Peace Mr. Brady ❤️

Thank you to all family and friends, for the lovely well wishes and condolences on the passing our of beloved Father, Husband, Companion, Poppa, Great Poppa & Friend on Thursday September 24th, 2020.
My Dad lived a very full and happy life into his 91st year ( not many of us will achieve the 90th year in their lives like he did on April 1st 2020). He was my best friend and he was mine! ( He always joked) I can never thank him enough for everything he and my late mom did for me and my family all of his life. He was the best, a true Scotsman, Celtic Football Supporter, loved his Blue Jays and Maple Leaf’s( Would have loved to have seen them win more cups!), avid Golfer until the last couple of years due to health issues and family /friends meant so much to him.
Dad is finally out of the pain and suffering he had to endure over the past few months. I hope on his journey at the next stage he is happily teeing off with Hugh, Joseph, Tommy ,and Johnny Carney each saying they are the most honest golfers! We’ll leave it at that! 😉

My Uncle Andy loved cars. When I was a youngster he would always bring home these very cool cars, it had something to do with his work is what I remember . He was also one of the few people I know that was an actual Argo fan. So easy to chat with, always genuinely interested in what was going on with you he will be missed by his family so much.

Please know I am thinking of you both and my heart is sad. I know how difficult this time is and if you need me for anything don’t hesitate. I will always be grateful for you coming to be with me during my mom’s passing. Both of you were like daughters to her and my dad which makes us sisters! I am sorry I cannot be there for you now but whenever this pandemic is under control I will definitely come. Mike and Courtney were also sad to hear your news and wanted me to give you their heartfelt condolences. Love you both and let all the kids know I feel for them. Lorna xx

I am so sorry Lori. He lived a long and good life and it should have ended much better than this. The Covid restrictions make the entire situation that much more devastating. Your Dad was a sweetheart and I have good memories of him. Mum is in palliative care right now as she was going down hill but has recently stabilized. It is awful watching after a long life, loved ones wasting away. Thank you for the invitation to the funeral but as Mum’s only caregiver I have been avoiding any potentially high risk situations. My thoughts and prayers are with you all

    Dear Lorraine & Denise

I heard from Louise that Andy had passed away. I am so sorry to hear about this and my thoughts go out to you and your family at this difficult time.

I always enjoyed his company on the few times we met and was grateful for his generosity in allowing us to stay with the kids at his place in Clearwater FL in 1997.

Let’s keep in touch and catch up in person one of these days when things get back to normal (hopefully).

    Love,
    Vaughan x

My earliest childhood memories of my Uncle Andy are when he and my Aunt Nancy invited me to join the on outings which often were visits to family and friends from “back home” . They made me feel it was less about babysitting but rather that they enjoyed “showing me off “. Needless to say I felt very special.
My uncle Andy always enjoyed the company of young people. As a child you knew he was genuine and so gave you a lovely feeling as a child.
I will also never forget the occasional spin around the block in an exotic car from British Motors, I believe, where he was employed at the time.
