Ardis E. Owens (McCulloch)

Funeral Details: Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Barrie Legion Branch 147

Ardis was born in Winnipeg; Manitoba on Monday, April 20, 1931, and passed on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, shortly after celebrating her 93rd birthday. She was married to James A. Owens until his death in 1994. Ardis was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Leaving sons James, Greg (Lynn) and Randy. Her daughter Sandra sadly left this world in November,2014. Ardis had four siblings. Joyce MacMillan (deceased) Ronald McCulloch (deceased), David McCulloch (Sandra) and Wendy Green (deceased). She is also survived by her grandchildren Donald (Nicole Dalcourt-Legree), Jennifer and Laura (Nigel). Her great grandchildren Mason Dalcourt, Lauren Dalcourt and Damien Pantling. Ardis was a very independent woman, who was and always will be very much loved and dearly missed by many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and many, many beloved friends.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life for Ardis at The Barrie Legion Branch 147 on Saturday July 27, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Ardis spent many years on the Ladies Auxiliary volunteering for many events so we feel this is where she would want us to celebrate her life and perhaps share some fond memories.

    Another angel has gone ahead. Yes you will be dancing – no more lonely visits to the cemetary to visit Sandra. She’s there to greet you with open arms.

    I missed my birthday buddy since moving away. It was a pleasure to know you Ardis.
