Passed away on August 27, 2026 at the age of 72 years.
Son of the late Murray and Barb Upton. Much loved husband of Debra for 47 years. Loving father of Kristopher and Daniel. Very proud papa of Austin and Jaxson. Dear brother of Merv (Judy), Arlene, Ken (Irma), and the late Keith. Cherished uncle of Michelle, Matthew, Emily (Hunter), and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Buzz spent more than 50 years as a truck driver, hauling steel throughout his career. The open road was where he felt most at home, and trucking was more than a job, it was a way of life.
When he wasn't behind the wheel of his truck, Buzz could often be found riding his Harley Davidson FLHTCUI. He never seemed to be without a cup of coffee in hand, and it wasn't unusual for him to stop at Tim Hortons and leave with two coffees, both for himself.
Buzz was an avid NASCAR fan, a passion he shared with his family through several memorable trips to Daytona. He also enjoyed following sports, cheering first for the New York Yankees and then the Toronto Blue Jays as well as the Toronto Maple Leafs. He loved watching his sons and grandchildren play hockey and took great pride in supporting them from the stands. Those who knew Buzz also knew he enjoyed his weed.

Posted on: Saturday, August 29, 2026Buzz was a great man, the opportunities i had to speak to him whether at some event or just out for a smoke he was soft spoken but absolutely hilarious. He never missed a moment to crack a joke with me. I will miss that. I know not many regulars took the time to talk to buzz cause he was “hard to understand” but to me they were to lazy. I enjoyed listening to Buzz even if he didn’t have much to say some times. You were very loved ya Buzzard the whole family sends our love and condolences. Ride in paradise Buzz ! And save me a good spot up there!
