Funeral Details:

Aurona Audrey Daley

Barrie  Ontario

January 1, 1938-November 22, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Aurona Daley announce her sudden passing at the RVH in Barrie on November 22, 2019 at the age of 81 years.

‘Rona’ grew up in Saint John, NB. She graduated from St. Vincent Girls School in 1956. She married her husband of 61 years, Donald Daley in 1958. They spent the following 4 years in Europe, where they made lifelong friends. In 1965 they moved to Moosejaw, Saskatchewan and continued to grow their family. They lived in Montreal from 1965 to 1980 while Don worked for Air Canada. In 1980 they transferred to Barrie Ontario where they continued to expand their friendships. Rona enjoyed several winters in Florida, and every year was fortunate to return to Saint John to visit with friends and family. Rona was most happiest in the company of her friends and family.

Aurona leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 61 years, Donald Daley, her daughters Carole (Doug), Shaun (Phil), Beth (Tim), and her son Bill (Trina).  She also leaves a family 12 grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Gladys Douglas, as well as her oldest daughter Cathy.

The entire staff of Respiratory, Trauma, and Palliative care teams provided outstanding care for her and her family, under Dr. Ogunsina’s compassionate leadership.

She will be remembered fondly by her family, close friends and everyone who knew her.

In keeping with Rona’s wishes no funeral services will be held. Donations may be made in her memory to the RVH Foundation, at www.rvh.on.ca

Forever loved and missed
