    Barbara and Hanka,

I am so sorry to hear this news – my mama and I only found out last night, Monday, Sept 16.

My mom is devastated, your mom was like a sister to her – they survived so much together, to say the least!

I know that they hadn’t been in contact for a long time, such is life when we get older.

My mom has been in long-term care at Copernicus Lodge in Toronto for just over a year, and we are also doing our best to deal with all, one day at a time.

I remember your mom fondly, she was a force of nature, as was my mom. They were amazing women!

I will do my best to find another way to connect with you, but worse case, I hope you see this post to let you know that I am thinking of you. God bless.

    Love,
    Marta

Sorry to read of the passing of your Mother in the Ottawa Citizen. Clare and I will try and attend at Pinecrest in Ottawa, if appropriate. Please advise us of the “TBD” date.
We remember the lovely meal in your Barrie home with you and your mother. Clare also recalls the horse shoe nail wall decorations.
