In loving memory of Mr. Barthelmy William Winston Pindar who peacefully transitioned on April 29, 2021 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. He was 75 years old. He was surrounded in love by his daughter Allison in his final moments and also virtually by his 5 girls and family.
He will be remembered by his children Chris, Sharon, Allison, Alban, Michelle, Natasha, Sharlene and Sharmanne, his ex-wives Rebecca Bernard (Beck) and Marie Pindar, his brothers and sisters Jullian, Sylvester, Jerome, Olive and Rosemary and also his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
In his earlier years, Mr Pindar had a passion for construction, where he was able to move up the ladder from being a carpenter to eventually owning his own construction company in the beautiful island of St. Lucia. He enjoyed travelling and going to the casino. This he continued after he moved to Canada to be with his daughter Allison and family. He also developed a love for long car rides (exploring) and beach hunting. His favourite beach was the New Wasaga beach in Wasaga, Ontario. But his love for the casino could not be beat by any of those! All in all, he was a responsible player. He also liked playing cards at home with his family where he always won because his memory was so sharp. It was always said that he was ‘on like a switch.’ Mr Pindar also got the opportunity to meet some of his great grandchildren, Bryson being one of his favourites. He also loved spending time with his nephew Sylvanus and family and also his niece Karen and family. He developed a love for the doctors and the nurses at the Barrie Hospital and also at the Collingwood Hospital. A gentleman full of life, his voice and laughter echoed everywhere he went. His love for watching CNN, soccer and also listening to his favourite St. Lucian show, Juke Bois. His stories to his children and everyone else who would listen about the news of the day will always be remembered. He will be greatly missed and remembered by immediate, extended family and friends. His famous words being “ou pas ka coutay, la kai nee un lair ou kai coutay” (you are not listening, there will be a time you will want to listen).
So, to daddy we say:
No more night, no more pain
No more tears, never crying again
And praises to the great I AM
We will live in the light and the risen LAMB
A special thanks to Doctors, nurses and all who were responsible for his care at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario and the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Also, to family and friends who supported the family during this time.
Because of the current restrictions, a private viewing will take place followed by cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held in St. Lucia.
