Funeral Details: A Celebration of Life will be held at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Saturday, May 9th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Karen Michaud passed away peacefully on April 30th, 2026 at the age of 66 years. Beloved mother of Shannon (Rob), Dannielle (Andrew), Peter (Sareenah), Meghan (Christopher), and Kurstyn (Matthew). Cherished Grandmother of Luci, Rain, Benjamin, Sullivan, and Alex. Loving daughter of Jenny. Dear sister of Russell, Deborah, Ben, Keith and Ken.
Karen was a fiercely independent woman with a resilient spirit that kept her strong through life’s challenges. She enjoyed spending time working on puzzles, collecting teapots and took great pride in nurturing her plants and pets Marley and Sierra. Karen will be remembered for her tireless efforts providing safe and compassionate community supports for children.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Saturday, May 9th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Helped me get to know there others I worked with and was always ready to bring on a laugh or help problem solve a solution. I will miss seeing here every morning and afternoon when we drop off and pickup the kids from school. Rest in peace dear friend. I will miss you and never forget you.
