Beulah Maude Goomansingh

September 16, 1941 - July 30, 2022

Funeral Details: Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 14, 2022 Highway Pentecostal Church (50 Anne St., Barrie) at 2:00 p.m.

It is with profound sadness, we announce that Beulah “Boots” Goomansingh (née Nash), on the most beautiful sunny summer day, gained her wings with family and beloved Shih Tzu Marley by her side at Simcoe Hospice, Barrie.

Beulah was the devoted wife of 50 years to Kazim, beloved mother of Lolita (Russell), proud and doting grandmother (Nanny)of Adina (Adam), Francis, Carmilla, Kianna (Chris), Kazim (Kendra), Lexa, and loving great-grandmother of Ariel, Jack, Kazim II, Samara and Jasmine.

She was predeceased by her mother Thelma Nash, father Walter Nash; brothers Wilmont Nash and Johnny Nash; sisters Geraldine LeGay and Betty Mayer; and her many nieces and nephews.

Beulah was born and raised in Newcastle, New Brunswick.

She worked at the IOOF Senior Home in the Environmental Services department for 25 plus years.  She was an extremely hard worker, and was exceptionally punctual.

Boots was known to live in the kitchen and was forever cooking up a storm for her loved ones and for family gatherings such as the Christmas parties she enjoyed so much.  She also had a love and passion for flowers and enjoyed tending to her garden.  Geraniums were her favorite flower, in red.  She was also happy to feed squirrels and birds in her backyard.  She adored her dog Marley, who was her little shadow and would be by her side day in and day out.

She was truly a selfless woman who put her family before herself.  The wisdom she shared will be instilled with us forever.  We will cherish every memory with her.  She will be missed beyond measure.

We want to thank Simcoe Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion to Boots and to our family during this time.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hiway Pentecostal Church, 50 Anne St., Barrie on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m..  In lieu of flowers, donations to Simcoe Hospice or Barrie SPCA and Humane Society can be made in Beulah’s “Boots” name.

I worked with Boots all the years at IOOF. Boots was the “laundry queen”, she ran a tight ship in there and knew exactly what to do! I will always remember the way she laughed so hard and bent over with her hands on her knees. She had a fierce love for her grandchildren from the day they were born. My sincere condolences to the family, I will never forget Boots.

My deepest condolences to sister Beulah’s beautiful family. Praying for God’s peace, comfort and strength for you all during this difficult time. The first day I met sister Beulah I was captivated at how beautiful and young she looked for her age. I had the honor and pleasure of offering Spiritual Care to her. Even though she was sick, she had a beautiful glow. She was so sweet, thoughtful and funny. I only knew her for a month but we had a great connection. We shared a lot of things in common especially our faith in God and having a Personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Savior. I wish I had the opportunity to spend more time with her on earth. I’m looking forward to our great reunion in Heaven some day. I know you’re resting peacefully in Heaven my dear sister in Christ.
