A remarkable man, who lived life on his own terms, William (Bill) Allen Smith, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Paula, on
Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the age of 73. For 50 years, Bill was the beloved husband of Paula Smith (nee Campbell). In addition to his wife, he
reluctantly leaves behind his two children, David (Carolyn), Sue (Rod), four grandsons, Paul, Will, Alex and Drew, and brother Jim (Carolyn) and their families.
At Bill’s request, there will be no formal funeral services, but rather the family requests that you celebrate his life by raising a toast in his honour. Many thanks for the support, care and kindness that Bill received from Dr. Sara Rask, Dr. Devon Turner and the nursing staff at 3GC at RVH. The final days of Bill’s life were spent in the warm and loving environment of Hospice Simcoe. We are extremely grateful for the support Bill and his family received from the staff and many volunteers of the hospice.
