Bradley William Flowers

September 2, 1951 - November 23, 2021

Funeral Details:

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say farewell to Bradley William Flowers.  After a brief and courageous battle with cancer, he bravely and peacefully left us on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario.

Brad leaves his wife of 28 years, Kathy Lowe, who held his hand to the end and will love him forever.  His brother, Douglas, and his partner in life, Jan McGarry, of Port Elgin Ontario, will miss him for his engaging conversations, his wonderful sense of humour, and his love of family.  Brad’s niece Erin Flowers, her partner Kris Arnold, and their son Dre, of Oakville Ontario, will miss his ability to make them laugh and love, and his encouragement to live their lives to the fullest together.  His niece Zoe Reitsma, her husband Arin, of Calgary Alberta, and their children Olivia and Owen will always remember their Uncle Brad with the fondest of memories for his laughter and love of life.  Brad and Kathy’s niece, Jennifer Lowe, of Whitby, will always have her uncle’s arms wrapped around her in support of her accomplishments and her future endeavours, knowing he believed in her choices with all his heart.  Jennifer’s partner, Chris Turner, shared a close relationship with Brad until the end.  His only nephew, Ryan Lowe, and his family of Whitby, will miss his unconditional love, his encouragement, and the common interests Ryan and Brad shared, most notably auto racing.

Brad will be missed by his loyal childhood friends; Randy Johnson, Philip Clarkson, and Gil Moore.  Although they all chose different paths, they remained close friends through life.  His friends, Philip ten Kortenaer, Keith McCrea, Terry Smith, Charlie Hodgkinson, Matt Seagriff, Wesley Thuro, John Wood, and Paul McCabe will miss Brad’s often controversial perspective and his ability to verbally spar on most any topic.

The ETGroup of companies and its employees, including Dirk Brophe, George Lund, and Brenda Daniels, will miss his guidance, vision, and friendship.

Brad and Kathy’s canine child, Lexi, will miss her Dad’s long daily walks surrounding their home in Muskoka and chasing rabbits at their home in Florida.

Brad’s philanthropic beliefs lead him to be a generous contributor to World Vision and The Terry Fox Foundation.  If desired, donations to either of these organizations in Brad’s memory would make him happy.

Thanks to friends and family who sent heart-felt tributes to Brad in the days and hours before he passed away.  Kathy extends gratitude to all the doctors and nurses at RVRHC in Barrie and PMH in Toronto, who cared for Brad in his last days on earth.

Brad’s wish for a warm-weather party to celebrate his life will be planned for June 2022.

We recently made acquaintance with Brad and Kathy when they moved into their new home on Sanibel Island Florida,
We instantly connected with Brad , his sense of humour and numerous interests, amazed us. Although, we didn’t know Brad long, it was long enough to know he was special. You will be missed dear friend.

I am so very sorry for the passing of this good man. Brad strolled through life with a big smile, a hearty laugh and a great sense of adventure. He had a wonderful circle of friends and family, and a true love story with Kathy….a life well lived, a life enjoyed, a life with great purpose. Thinking of the Lowe Flowers family and wishing you peace.
