Brian Michael Temple

December 30, 1950 - March 27, 2021

Funeral Details:

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at his home in Alcona, Innisfil after his long fight with colon cancer.  Brian was born on December 30th, 1950 in Toronto to Josephine and the late Jacob Temple.  He leaves behind Debbie, his loving wife of 49 years, and his four sons Michael (Katrine), Daniel (Tanya), Robert and James (Shannon).  Grandfather of Jacob, Phoenix, Addison (late) and Rylan - and Cameron, Avery, Kaitlyn, Rachel and A.J.  Brother of Larry (Irene - late), Bob (late), Marcia (Larry) and Mick (Remi).  Son-in-law to the late Irvine and Betty-Teresa and brother-in-law of Jon and Lett.  Uncle and great-uncle to MANY nephews and nieces.  After growing up and working in Ontario and Newfoundland, he met Debbie and they were married on November 18th, 1972.  Being long-term residents of Alcona, Brian established "Brian Temple Carpentry" in the community.  He spent his spare time over the years fishing, skidooing, motorcycling, Beatlemania-ing, building ANYTHING, being a hockey dad and playing guitar/bass in the bands Nazzer Blue, The Alcona Hangovers and Switchbak!  (He was even asked for his autograph once...to which he thought the girl was crazy.)  He wished his ashes to be brought to the cottage forever where he can spend eternity fishing, building additions and yelling at boats speeding by.  He will be missed by his forever-loving wife, his family and his true friends.  Online condolences and memories www.peacefultransition.ca

Dear Aunt Jo, My heart is saddened to hear of Brian’s passing. My deepest sympathy to you and all your family. Although I haven’t seen you or Brian for such a long time, I always remember, as a child, my visits to Gran and Pap’s when you were there and seeing you all at aunt Cathy’s. I’ll always treasure those memories. Hugs.

Brian was such a wonderful nice man and best memories were the hockey arena days and travelling to tournaments with our boys – he will not be forgotten and will always be remembered and his family loved him dearly ♥️

Uncle Bri, say hi to dad and pop for me. I’m sure gonna miss your maple syrup but what I’ll miss more is you, the next time I visit my favourite place in the world….your cottage. I call it your cottage because it was your greatest project. The place you planned to retire. The place you were always working on. As it became more popular with the boys’ and their guests taking over your space, you didn’t let it bother you. Instead, you began constructing another getaway….a much smaller one that wouldn’t hold too many. A place you could finally enjoy peace and quiet which you didn’t get much of raising 4 boys. I’m sorry you didn’t get to realize your dream of finally ending up there but what did happen there was many memories made. Bobbie & I bringing your great nieces to the cottage who ALL caught their very first fish at the end of your dock.
The love of family was so strong and the bonds everlasting. You will be truly missed.
Aunt Deb, Mike, Dan, Rob & Jamie – I miss and love you guys so much. When all this craziness happening in the world has passed, I’ll be travelling east to park my butt at my favourite place with me and mine & you and yours xo
