Bruce Albert Lockwood
Born February 7, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario
Bruce passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the age of 78; surrounded by his beloved family whom had been keeping a vigil by his side at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.
Bruce, son of the late Stanley and Grace, brother of Todd Cole. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois; children Randy (Toni), Cindy (Rod Weber), Edwin (June), and Paula (Jody Tweedle). Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Brittany, Micheal, Rachel, Victoria, and great granddaughter Riley.
Bruce lived his life passionately without regrets. Committed wholeheartedly to his family and friends. An avid angler and hunter for over 50 years, it is comforting that he spent his last few days doing what he loved in the woods. He was unique and one of a kind in many ways and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Royal Victoria Hospital for their exemplary care, kindness and compassion. A memorial has been established in Bruce’s name at the RVH Foundation in support of the ICU. Donations can be made online at www.foundation.rvh.on.ca or by calling 705-739-5600.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion (30 Mary Street, Parry Sound)

Posted on: Thursday, November 24, 2016I will truly miss Bruce at the Old Mill Hunt Camp whom I first met over 25 years ago upon my first visit there. Always looked forward to each fall at camp and the stories of our adventures in the bush that day. I will always remember Bruce on the portable radio with daily instructions for the group, talk radio Bruce we called it. One moment in particular I will never forget is Bruce yelling that we had deer down all over the place, that was truly a great day of many we had. It is with a heavy heart that I write this but I`m left with great memories that I shall cherish. My thoughts are with the extended Lockwood family. Bruce you are now free to forever chase those big bucks my friend and Rest in Peace.
