Passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024, at the age of 88. Carol, born to the late Walter and Annie Stokowski, is survived by her dear brother Ted (Rose), and niece Teresa. She is now reunited with her beloved late husband, Gene Myroon (2010). Carol was a loving mother to Karen (Pete) and Cori (Rob), and the late Kelly. She will be forever remembered as a cherished grandmother to Kerri (Corey), Craig (Becky), and Dave (Rachel); and great-grandmother Tye, Tia, Cayden, Cali, Robert, Thomas, and Elina.
Known for her agreeable nature and caring spirit, Carol touched the lives of many. She had a special place in her heart for friends, and her appreciation for their companionship was immeasurable. A particular mention goes to her close friend Anette, who walked beside her until the end.

Carol was known for making sure all had more than enough to eat, and everyone who sat at her table will have fond memories of her delicious perogies. She had a mild-mannered demeanor, steering clear of confrontation and always radiating warmth. She had a knack for overfeeding everyone with love and kindness.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and she will find her final resting place alongside Gene in the family niche at St. Mary's Cemetery in Barrie.  A casual drop in for friends and family will take place Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 12-3pm at the Traditions Banquet Hall (Sheba Shrine), 142 John St., Barrie.

We love Carol so much. We will always remember her for her kindness and love for her great grandchildren. I will cherish the times together in the kitchen and her helpful motherly advice. The children will miss giggling with her and her joyful “hi sweetie!” greetings. She was such a kind and sweet GiGi and she will be missed very much.

    Dear Cori and Karen,
We are so sorry for the loss of your dear Mum. I have such fond memories as a teenager of your Mum and family and what wonderful neighbors they were. Carol coming across the street for coffee with Mum and vice versa were special times. My parents will miss her dearly after 50 years of friendship. May she rest in peace and may the good Lord keep his loving arms around you and your family at this difficult time.
    Love,
    Joni ,Stan and family xoxo

The enduring joy found in Carol’s love is a memory that will never fade. Her kindness towards others the quick warmth of her smile, and the profound love that gleamed in her eyes when she looked at you, Cori, were moments, I felt privileged to witness.

May you find solace in reflecting on these treasured moments.

My love and prayers to you Rob and the family
