Carolyn Violet Dixon

Passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at the age of 82 years.  Daughter of the late George and Letitia.  Beloved wife of the late Bruce Dixon (1999).  Loving mother of Yvonne (Rodger), Cindy (Ken), and Donnie (Cindy).  Dear grandma of Letitia (Kyle), Christina, Tyler (Leah), and Jordan (Leila); and proud great-grandma of Hayden, Maya, Max, Emily, Chloe, Elliott, Archer, and Kaden.  Cherished aunt of Darlene.  Carolyn was predeceased by her siblings Gloria, Gord, Jimmy, and Larry.

Carolyn’s family was always her greatest priority, and she made sure they came first in all things.  She was known for her sarcastic wit and spirited personality, often described as a true spit-fire.  Strong-willed and stubborn in the best of ways, those qualities carried her through many years with resilience.  Carolyn was generous to a fault and would gladly give the clothes off her back to help someone.

She had a lifelong love of cats and always enjoyed having one or more in the home.  Carolyn loved being outdoors, especially spending time at Wasaga Beach and out on the water boating.  She had a keen interest in the goings on in the neighbourhood and was a great source of information.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the I.O.O.F., RVH, and Hospice Simcoe for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Carolyn and her family during this difficult time.
