Catherine Anne Peters

August 14, 1960 - November 1, 2019

Funeral Details: A Private Family Farewell will be held.

Peters, Catherine Anne: It is with great sadness that the family of Catherine Peters-Bajinski
announce her passing. Cathy Peters-Bajinski, 59, of Newmarket passed
away peacefully with her family at her side at the Margaret Bahen
Hospice after a courageous two-year battle with Triple-Negative Breast
Cancer.
Catherine was born to parents George Duncan Peters and Catharine Jean
Moffatt on August 14, 1960 in Richmond Hill, Ontario. She graduated
from Langstaff Secondary School in 1978 and earned a diploma in
Interior Colour and Design from Seneca College. Cathy studied advanced
floral design at Smithers Oasis, specializing in large-scale arrangements.
Catherine will be lovingly remembered by her spouse of 27
years, David Bajinski, her daughter, Jacqueline (Jeremy), and her son,
Kristopher. Cathy will also be fondly remembered by her brothers Kenny (Carol Lee),
Donny (Angie), Lloyd, Gord (Sue), and her sister Gail.
Cathy was predeceased by her brother Rob. Cathy will also be forever
remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and
dear friends.
Cathy was an accomplished floral designer but an even better Mother
and Wife. She was a fantastic cook- nobody could make a better lasagna
than she. She was also passionate about genealogy, interior design and gardening.
Cathy loved animals, from cats and dogs, to horses and monkeys.
She enjoyed travelling, especially to tropical destinations, her favourite being Punta Cana.
Catherine will be dearly missed and forever in all of our hearts.
As per Catherine's wishes, the family will forgo a formal memorial service
and hold a private family celebration of life.
In memory of Catherine and in lieu of flowers, donations to the
Margaret Bahen Hospice (Newmarket) in Catherine's name would be
sincerely appreciated.

I will miss watching chick flicks in bed surrounded by treats, laughter and lots of love. I remember watching Modern Family and we laughed so hard I couldn’t see through my tears. I am so thankful to have so many wonderful memories (playing Trouble in the basement and listening to the Saturday Night Oldies show, searching for “moosies” … too many to list).

Lots of love and kisses and hugs, Jackie, Kris and Uncle Dave. Xoxo xoxo

I am thankful to have so many wonderful memories (everything from playing Sorry in the basement while listening to the Saturday Night Oldies Show, to laughing so hard watching Modern Family Uncle Dave had to check on us). I’ll miss her hugs and the way she always surrounded me with love … even over the phone you always felt how much she cared about you. xoxoxox.

My condolences to all of Cathy’s family. I am saddened to hear of her passing of Cathy. We discovered each other about 15 years ago through genealogy, we were cousins on the Moffatt side. We enjoyed doing genealogy together, I will surely miss our times connecting family together with her. RIP my dear sweet cousin❤️

Very sad to hear of Cathy’s passing, didn’t see much of Cathy but when I did she was always fun and always so nice. My daughter Riley had met Cathy only once and when I told her about her passing she remembered her as being so nice to her, you are missed Cathy😢❤️

I’m sorry that I only came across this notice four years after Cathy’s passing. I remember her as a happy glimmer of light, often answering the door when I dropped by to see Donny. I am grateful that we briefly rekindled our friendship through Facebook. Cathy will always be missed. Cancer is a thief stealing our family before their time. I was pleased to see several familiar names, here. I am sorry for the Peters’ family loss. Cathy’s passing is a loss for us all. Rest in peace young lady.
