It is with immense sadness that the family announces the passing of Catherine (Cathy), Alice, Louise Colville (nee Wrigley).
At 75 and after a lengthy fight with cancer Cathy passed away peacefully with her son Todd by her side. On a beautiful sunny morning with the birds singing and eating from the feeder outside her window of the Hospice Simcoe in Barrie Ontario Thursday May 7th, 2026.
Deeply adored by all who knew her, Cathy is survived by her husband Andrew (Andy) Colville and her sister-in-law Kelso. Preceded in death by her parents Marjorie Martin (nee Spencer) and Jack Wrigley and also her first husband Ron (Pete) Craig.
Cathy's greatest treasures will always be her family and her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire all of her "children". Her sons Todd Craig (Erin) and Ryan Craig. Her grandchildren Sandra, Dylan, Candice, Shelby (Davis) and Tori. Her great grandchildren Travis, Tundra, Emelia, Mya, Erika and soon to be announced new baby girl. Her brothers are, Tom Martin (Debbie) and Reid Martin who passed away before her. Also, her brothers David Wrigley and Gord Wrigley (Janice).
Cathy has a vast and beautiful family. With many nieces and nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. Her partner in crime and not ever to be forgotten is her niece Lincoln (Lucas).
Cathy was a master hairdresser and worked, as well as taught in the industry. She made a lasting impression on her co-workers as well as her "children" that trained under her. She was fiery and fiercely compassionate about what she knew and enjoyed sharing these gifts with all.
Cathy loved all animals and TV shows about them. She had a horse named Ginger as a young girl. And over the course of her life, she had many dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, gerbils, lizards, fish etc.. She had an even wider array of plants than she did animals. She loved to make and create knitting as well as crochet projects and share them freely. She loved NASCAR and hated some drivers as much as she loved others. Cathy liked to go on beach vacations and loved the sun no matter where she was.
You will always be remembered with love and laughter, forever in our hearts until we meet again.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the kind, caring staff, and volunteers at the RVH cancer center and also the warm, thoughtful staff and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe. As well as Sheila Perri for her visit and haircut.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 1 p.m., please contact the family for location details.

Posted on: Saturday, May 16, 2026I’ll always treasure the time I spent with Cathy, who was the mom I always needed. She not only taught me valuable life lessons but also shared her passion for knitting and crochet, which I’ll continue to cherish. Her impact on my life has been profound, and I’m grateful for the time we had together.
My heart is shattered, but the love that lingers will mend it in time

Posted on: Wednesday, May 20, 2026It’s so hard to put into words how much I’m going to miss you. Some of my favorite memories in life are with you — the singing, the laughs, the car rides when you’d come pick me up no matter what, and even the simple moments like haircuts that somehow always turned into time spent talking and making memories together.
You had a way of making people feel loved, safe, and cared for just by being yourself. I’ll always remember your voice, your kindness, and the way you showed up for me over and over again. Those moments may seem small to others, but to me they meant everything.
I’m so grateful for every memory we shared and for the love you gave so freely. Life won’t feel the same without you here, but I know a part of you will stay with me forever — in every song, every laugh, and every memory that still makes me smile through the tears.
I love you so much, and I’ll carry you in my heart always. ❤️

Posted on: Sunday, May 24, 2026I’m not sure if I will ever get over this loss Mom. I feel so honored to be the last person that you saw before you left us. Your loss is going to leave the biggest void that we have ever felt in our lives. Paisli was born shortly after you left this world. But I promise you that I am going to be the best Grandpa ever!! You left me with so many memories and stories to share with her when she is old enough to appreciate them. Thank you for raising me. Thank you for teaching me how to be a good person. How to love. How to be the best husband and father that I can be. My life will never be the same Mom. May every NASCAR race be won by your favorite drivers. And may everyone that was fortunate enough to know you never forgot you. I know that I never will.
Love. You #1 Son. XOXO
