Passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, at the age of 83.
Beloved husband of Sandra for over 60 years. Loving father of Karl (Carole), the late Erik, and father-in-law of Angela. Cherished Opa of Mitchell, Nicholas, Curtis, Thomas, Jordan, Natasha, and Tara, and proud Great-Opa of Harper, Payton, Sutton, and Lucy.
Christopher dedicated more than 26 years of service to the Canadian Armed Forces, retiring with the rank of Warrant Officer. During his distinguished military career, he served with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI), his trade being a Physical Education Recreation Instructor (PERI) for the Canadian Armed Forces.
An avid outdoorsman, Christopher had a lifelong passion for hunting and sports. He enjoyed soccer, track and field, volleyball, and coaching, and was also an international badminton umpire. For many years, he took great pleasure in reenacting the Napoleonic Wars and the War of 1812 alongside fellow historical reenactors, sharing his appreciation of military history with others.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of the Veterans Centre, L-Wing, at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Christopher.
