My heart goes out to you. An Irish poet wrote: ”Lord thou art hard on mothers/We suffer in their coming and in their going!” Your son’s death must have come as a great shock and I pray that you will find consolation and peace of mind that allows you to endure the inevitable grief. We never lose those we love and you will in time feel the deep connection of your eternal bond, meeting him in the greater life we all share and that goes beyond words.

I hope to attend the memorial gathering on February 22.

I join my thoughts to those shared above by Treasa O’Driscoll, adding that – as I’m sure you are aware – his name Christopher comes from the Greek “Christopheros”, meaning literally “bearing Christ”. From the way you characterized him above, your choice of name for him at his birth was fulfilled.

Our world is a little dimmer without him in it. I will always admire his courage in the way he lived his life – unafraid of all the emotions life has to offer. His life was short but full and decidedly his way.

Sonia, Chris was a close friend of mine. He made a big impact on my life and I loved him dearly. He was a true spiritual warrior and I am very inspired by his virtues in this life.
