Danika McKnight

March 10, 2000 - September 11, 2021

Funeral Details:

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing on September 11th, 2021 in Barrie at the very young age of 21 years. Cherished daughter of Patrick McKnight and Lesley McKnight, loving sister of Madison McKnight. Beloved granddaughter of Bill (Opa) and Linda (Oma) McKnight, Donald (Grampa) and Margaret (Grandma) Barger.  Danika will sadly be missed by many friends and extended family members.

Danika was very proud of accomplishing her high school education then her acceptance into Georgian College hairstyling studies to further herself and build a future in what she was most passionate about. Her artistic and creative skill was a perfect fit for this next stage of her journey.

In her pastime, Danika enjoyed & was passionate about cooking, baking, drawing and painting, again highlighting her creative side.

Throughout her life, she had a true love of nature, camping, boating, fishing and all living things, especially at Beausoleil Island on Georgian Bay.

Danika was the type of person whom would do anything for you, especially seeking out and befriending those who would otherwise not be accepted. She impacted everyone around her with her outgoing, quirky and humorous demeanour, never making judgements.

In lieu of flowers or donations to a charity, in Danika’s honor, when we are given the chance take a moment to pay it forward, do something for someone for no reason other than to spread love, happiness and kindness. Dani will be dearly missed and never be forgotten.
Thank you all for your love and support, Patrick.

When I met Danika in 2019, I didn’t know how being her best friend would change my life. She was my soul mate. Partners in crime. We had been thru 2 different friend groups when when they all dropped us it was her that continued to stick by my side and vise versa. I’m so blessed to have been apart of her life. She made life worth living.
