Passed away suddenly on August 19, 2026, at the age of 67 years.
Darlene was the proud and protective mother of Jonathan, who was the center of her world and loved beyond measure.
A proud member of the Ojibwe Nation, Darlene embraced her Indigenous heritage throughout her life. She especially enjoyed creating crafts, with a particular passion for traditional Indigenous-inspired and Ojibwe crafts, which reflected her creativity and pride in her culture.
Known for her vibrant personality and warm spirit, Darlene was always the light of the party. She brought joy wherever she went and was deeply involved in her building community. She helped organize bingo in her building and looked forward to both setting it up and enjoying the games with friends and neighbours. Her kindness, enthusiasm, and welcoming nature will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Over the years our paths would cross and it was like no time had passed at all. You could recognize her distinctive laugh anywhere. She always spoke of her son with great pride. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.
