David Edward Thomas passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 19th 2021 in his home at the age of 47 years old.
David was born on February 11th, 1974 to Gwendolyn and Allan Thomas in Richmond Hill, ON. David attended and graduated from Centennial College as an Automotive Technician in 1998. David was always very passionate about being a mechanic. He was always helping his family and friends with their vehicles. David’s daughter Erica is very fond of the time he spent with her teaching her how to fix her own car, they are some of her favourite memories of David.
David’s friends describe him as kind, loving, generous, and forgiving. “David put on a macho show but, behind that was a big soft heart”.
David had developed a great passion for cooking over recent years and even auditioned for Master Chef Canada. He loved to entertain his friends, drive his truck around listening to music, go for coffee with his friends and loved to go fishing. David also spent many years volunteering in Rosie’s kitchen, serving food to those in need over the holidays. David also volunteered with Rosie to make her deliveries to those in need within his community.
David is survived by his wife Chevien; his mother and father Gwendolyn and Allan; his brother Robert (Bobbi); his five children Dylan, Erica, Katelyn, Dayemon and Jayden. He is predeceased by his grandson Dominick.
