Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on September 30, 2025, with family by her side. Deb Grisé, née Deborah Anne Light, was born on April 10, 1952, in Penetanguishene, daughter of Henry Light and June (Moreau) Light.

All who knew her will remember her gentle nature and kind heart.  She was a talented songstress and accomplished artist in oils, water colours, fabric and other media.

Loving wife, mom, stepmom, gramma, and aunt; sister and friend.  Deb is survived by her husband Frank Grisé, children Melanie Gowland, Heather Gowland, Simon Gowland (Meghan), stepchildren Gordon Grisé (Ayako) and Ken Grisé, grandchildren Sedona Vigneault, Sam Gowland, Liam Gowland-Browne, Makota Gowland, Lucian Gowland, Ren Grisé, and Kaito Grisé; siblings Brenda Light McKinnon (Bryon), Cynthia Blair (Brian), Dan Light (Leslie), Laurie Light and Melanie Sorensen (Bob).

In lieu of flowers, donations to honour Deb may be made to Hospice Simcoe.
A family Celebration of Life has taken place.

    I have now several pieces of art Debra made for me including portraits of my son as a teen with out golden at that time and now as well portraits of 3 grand children
    I was sadden to hear of her passing – often I would pick up the above at her both at the farmers’ market at the fairgrounds in Orillia
    We would have a chat and she would impress me with her remembering the names of our grandkids . Her talent was obvious – a kind generous lady as well
    Wish her family well – had to be a great Mom and gramma
