Leveque, Dorothy Ethel (nee Bowler)

Passed peacefully on December 27^th, 2020 in her 90^th year at the Village of Riverside Glen, Guelph, Ontario.  Dorothy was a strong, colourful, unique person who loved her home, family, and friends, and entertaining many as she played the piano or organ.  She owned a hair salon in her home for many years and helped patients in local Guelph Hospitals do their hair.  In her younger years, she enjoyed waterskiing, swimming, snowmobiling, dancing, and roller-skating.  She enjoyed new cars and bright clothing.  She always found a moment to call or write friends and family.  Dorothy was born in Oakville, Ontario and was adopted as a young child by Charles and Ethel Bowler (nee Hayhoe).  She was raised with her foster sister, Ruth.  Dorothy married William Leveque and together they had three children; Charles, Cynthia, and Carl.  Dorothy will be remembered and loved by her granddaughters Lisa (nee Gemin) Cleghorn (Rob), Denise Gemin (Tom), Leanne Leveque and Carrie Moffatt (nee Leveque) (Darryl) and her great-grandchildren Garrett, Alyssa, Cheyenne, Devin, and Brayden.  Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her nephew Jerry Maschewski (Shelley) and their daughters Cassandra Dorman (Wes) and their children, and Caroline.  Also remembered by niece Ruth Morgan (Kevin) and nephew Robert Maschewski (Janet) and their children.  Predeceased by her husbands William Leveque and Frederick Barlow, her sister Ruth Wilson (nee Wright) (Maschewski) and loving daughter Cynthia Widdis (nee Leveque) (Gemin).  Cremation has taken place.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Christian Assembly Inc.
