Tina, I was so sorry to see the obituary for Doug. I met him a couple of times while working with you at Prince Charles and he helped my son-in-law when he was interested in taxidermy. Such a nice man. My thoughts are with you and your family at this very difficult time.

On behalf of all the friends Doug had with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s Aurora District office over several decades, I’d like to express our sincere and heartfelt condolences to his wife Janice and all his family and close friends. I knew Doug for many years and always respected his first hand knowledge of wildlife, his craft and how kind and respectful he was with all of us. Such a nice guy … he will be missed!

Have not seen Doug for many years but always kept him in our thoughts. We go back to our High School days and the times we had together. Wearing beanies, straight lace shoes, stove jeans and small purple glasses. Drove the teachers crazy. Not going back to school in Sept. and instead taking a road trip in a 53 Meteor, that used more oil than gas, to see northern Ontario for a month. What a great time to be young.
    The world needs more Dougs…..
