Florence and Wally were married at Trinity Anglican Church in Barrie in 1943. They lived on Blake Street and raised 5 children.
From Barrie, in 1962, Wally was transferred to Kitchener with a new position for the C.N.I.B. and here they lived for 2 years.
From Kitchener the C.N.I.B. transferred Wally and family to Sudbury, London, and Thornhill. At the end of Wally’s career they retired to Barrie in 1981.
Florence was always a pillar of strength for the family that she loved. Wally taught her to drive a car before they married, knowing that he was losing his sight. She was the family chauffeur and made holiday trips to Victoria, B.C., Florida, and other parts of the U.S.A. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, needlework, gardening, and paired with Wally to play many games of bridge and bid euchre.
There will be a private family service.
Many thanks to all the caring staff at Allandale Village in The Odd Fellows & Rebekah Home for their kind help and support.
Donations to the Odd Fellows & Rebekah Home Building fund would be appreciated by the family.

Posted on: Tuesday, October 27, 2015I am so sorry for the loss of Florence, such a busy lady, assisting Wally and family. Living on Blake St. I often saw them, and at cards and the Seniors Center. What an amazing couple.
Know that others care, and to the family, a large loss in your lives.
My the Good Lord bless Wally and family.
