Francis James Hough Lee

March 21, 1939 - July 2, 2024

Funeral Details: There will be a Celebration of Life for Frank at a later date. All will be welcome.

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Francis James Hough Lee. Frank was born on March 21st, 1939 and passed away July 2, 2024 at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie. He was surrounded by his children Eric, Calvin, Frankie, Cherry, Terry and daughters in law Brenda and Mem. Frank was born in the Parry Sound area to James and Cora Lee. He was the first-born son of a large family of 7 siblings.

Frank did not receive high education when he was young, but made up for it with a work ethic that is rarely equaled.

Leaving home at an early age, Frank settled down in the Orillia area and married his true love, Alice Knight. Unfortunately, Alice passed away in 2019, leaving him heart broken. Working hard as a Hoisting Engineer, Frank raised his family and provided for all their needs. He was truly a family man. His work took him from Orillia to Barrie and Mississauga. His skill as a crane operator was highly sought after. Frank finally retired at age 70 so he could enjoy his family and his passion for golfing. Frank will be missed by his many grandchildren. He had a special relationship with each and every one! Barry, Brandi, Levi, Serenity, Trinity, Owen, Jenna, Nathan, Evan, Amber, Kyler and Carmen will feel the loss for a long time to come.

Cremation will take place as per Frank’s request and he will be reunited with his beloved Alice in a special spot in Orillia where they met.

A special thanks to Hospice Simcoe! Your compassion, caring, and kindness will never be forgotten by the " Lee Clan".

Sorry to hear of the passing of your dad and grandfather. Some memories I have when we had our summer place near lake Rousseau in Muskoka, Frank was working on the road doing some crane operating. Also when I did music show in Bent river a few years back Frank came to some of the shows.Frank used to listen to some of my music songs on Facebook. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family doing these difficult time. God bless Lynda & Elwood.
