Frederick Albert McKeegan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frederick “Freddy” Albert McKeegan on February 15, 2023 at the age of 87.  Born on February 6, 1936, Freddy was a kind and generous soul.  He always had a positive attitude towards life and a smile for everyone he knew.  His wife Chrissie was the love of his life.  They were married just short of 66 years.  In his last months, Ashlynn, his great granddaughter always put a big smile on his face and gave him great joy.  A printer by trade Freddy operated his own business with his partner and friend Don Ikari.  He had a passion for golf and played it every chance he could.  You would often find him practicing his swing or reading up on the game when he wasn’t on the golf course.

Husband to Chrissie; Father to Lynn McTavish; Grandpa to Katie Byrne (Evan), Alex Byrne (Brandon) and Ryan Daniels; and Great-Grandpa to Ashlyn Quo Vadis.

He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tangle Creek Golf Club, 4730 Sideroad 25, Thornton on Sunday, March 12, 2023 between 1 pm and 4 pm where we will share memories and pictures of a life lived well.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in Freddy’s name would be appreciated.  Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.peacefultransition.ca
