It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, George Alexander Cooper.
George was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Henry Cooper of B.C., his loving wife, Carol, and sister, Shirley Fort.
He was a loving father to Warren (Haidie), Ruthanne and Grandfather to Kenzie. Brother to Patricia Scott, Peggy Elliot, Noreen Elliot, Robert Cooper and Jennifer Parker and Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
George was a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, he was also a member of the United Nations Peacekeeping Unit and lifelong dedicated blood donor for the Neo-Natal Units.
A special thank you to Dr. J. Irish, Dr. J. Lukovic and Dr. M. Krzyzanowska and the medical team for their compassionate care during Dad’s illness at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Toronto General Hospital.
In accordance with Dad’s wishes, a private family service has been held.
