Chris was a wonderful brother to me and he was always there for me for late night chats . He organized and loved those family gatherings . He was so happy when the Family was gathered around him .
The year I lost my husband Rick ,I went to Ivy for 10 days at Thanksgiving and there was a Family Thanksgiving in the Hall nearby .. it was wonderful .

What an incredibly warm presence and calming soul Uncle Chris was. I delighted in spending time with him as a child. His sense of humour was unique and beyond compare. His contagious roaring belly laugh…… he could bring a beaming smile to the gloomiest of faces with his jokes, his playful pestering and his kidding sense of humour.

Chris and i had our thing…… a greeting as it were and it lasted a lifetime. Every time Chris would see me he would grab my nose between his fingers and yell HONK!!!! As he pulled his hand away his thumb would be in between his fingers. ‘Gotcha!’ he would exclaim. He pulled his hand away with such a yank and such vigour i always, yes always, would touch my nose to make sure it was still there. 🤣

Hours into our visits or family get togethers any time Chris wanted to find me he would just yell through the crowd, HONK!!!!! And i of course would yell back, HONK!!! And we would laugh and laugh. Im sure people thought we were nuts! But thats ok. Because we were a little and we loved every minute of it.
Thank you Chris for being such an incredible gift and an unforgettable presence in my life. I love you now, forever and always.

We are sorry to hear of Chris’s passing. Chris was such a beautifully typical example of a soft-spoken member of the Ayers family. He never seemed to lose that easy-going nature of the typical Prince Edward Islander. Much like his dad, my Uncle George, Chris had a creative and inquisitive mind as well as a passionate love for family.

He will be missed. My condolences to the family, especially Geoffrey, Margaret and Warren and Sheila, Susan and Cathy.

Our hearts go out to you on the passing of your Dad, Brother, Uncle and friend. Chris was a much appreciated long time advertiser in the Farm View Newspaper. Not only that but also a good friend to John and Jill Beischer. He will be missed.
