It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Gloria Vera Guinyou, on November 25, 2025 at the age of 88, following a four-month stay at the RVRHC.
Gloria is now reunited with her cherished father, who bravely gave his life during World War II, one of many heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Although she was only two years old when he passed, she carried his memory with deep honour throughout her life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Kim, Patti, and Karen; and dearly missed by her grandsons Mitchell, Dalton, and Jake.
Gloria was well known for her vibrant involvement in her community. She participated in numerous theatre groups, choirs, musicals, and, most recently, the Parkview Singers. Her joyful spirit and love of singing were a defining part of who she was. She also treasured time spent at the family cottage, where many meaningful memories were made. She also had a wonderful fondness for the family pets.
A long-time resident of Sandycove Acres, Gloria spent her final year at Tollendale Village, where she continued to be recognized for her social nature, active lifestyle, and warm presence. She faced her health challenges with admirable strength and determination. Gloria enjoyed life.
A Celebration of Life will be announced in the Spring of 2026 to allow family and friends to gather in her honour.
