Words cannot express how sad I am to hear of Gwenda’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Gwenda for 10 years in the WW office. She was a force of strength friendship compassion and guidance. I value the time we had and am thankful for her support over the years. The best times spent, were listening to Gwenda regale us with her stories of her ever loving and entertaining family and all your antics. Especially any story that included Peter, who was definitely an added bonus to our office life regularly. I hope your wonderful memories carry you all through this journey of sadness. Dear Peter, Tom, Tanya and family:

I worked with Gwenda in the WW office for five years and was very sorry to hear of her passing. She was a kind, compassionate person who had a very quick wit. She was an amazing WW leader and it was very entertaining to see how she got her point across to people and made everyone laugh. I know she cherished all of her family with all her heart because her face lit up with happiness when she spoke about any of you. She will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved her.

Dear Peter, Tom, Tanya I was so sorry to hear of Gwenda’s passing. In my heart I always thought she’d beat cancer. I knew Gwenda through WW in Thunder Bay. She trained me 27 years ago. She was funny, caring, “to the point” and a wealth of knowledge. Gwenda’s mentoring changed my life and for that I am grateful. Gwenda had a wonderful sense of style and flair which included wearing large jeweled spiders on her shoulder and of course her beloved lucky ladybugs. She was so proud of her family and shared stories about all of you. I pray that your hearts would be full of precious memories of Gwenda and the times you spent together. May God comfort you. Thank you Gwenda for your friendship and unwavering support. Your humor is legendary as are your kitchen experiments ( it’s a special baker who can make butter tarts on the BBQ!)
Thank you for starting a Christmas tradition and the welcome in every time I came to your doorstep.
Thank you Ethan, Danica, Sarah and Paige for sharing your Grandma with my girls. They loved and adored her.
You are dearly missed and will never be forgotten.

Gwenda was one of those vibrant beautiful ladies you meet in your life journey and hold dear forever. It was a pleasure working for WW (Port Elgin) with her as our receptionist mentor, guide and supportive friend. Never a dull moment. Such treasured “spider ” pins and you always looked for and remember with a smile. It was so special seeing her just a few short years ago in Kincardine.
    Beautiful lady, beautiful memories.

    With deepest sympathy,
    Marilyn Wilkie
