It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Cook, at the age of 98 years, on December 17, 2025.
Howard was the loving and devoted husband of Pamela for over 73 years. He was pre-deceased by his “bride”, Pam, and his daughter, Susan.
Howard is survived by his children Barbara, Paul (Jane), and Carolyn Reid (Dayton). Proud grandfather to Mackenzie (Chelsea), Gabriel and Anna.
Howard will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered for his love and aptitude for sports, especially golf (Summit G&CC) and curling (Thornhill G&CC and Leaside Curling Club). He also had a profound interest in jazz, most importantly Louis Armstrong. He provided his family with valuable memories during his 98+ years!

Posted on: Thursday, December 25, 2025My sincere condolences to you, Carolyn, Dayton, Mackenzie, Chelsea, and loved ones with the loss of your Dad, Grandpa.
Although I have never met you, Dad, I have heard many delightful stories about him. A life well lived, 98 years young, incredible.
Your Dad was also a veteran, who fought overseas in the Second World War. Forever grateful to him and others for liberating the Netherlands.
Your parents Carolyn will guide you from above. May you look back at the wonderful memories you have made with your parents. As well as feeling blessed to have been able to walk beside them for all these years.
May you be surrounded by your loved ones during this Holiday Season.
Ellen
