James (Jim) Murdoch

April 2, 1947 - January 21, 2022

Funeral Details:

In loving memory of James (Jim) Murdoch who passed away at IOOF seniors home on Friday January 21, 2022 at the age of 74.  Survived by his wife Doris, daughter Jocelyne (Steve), son Richard (Hsin-Yi), and daughter Céline.  Cherished grandfather of Dawson and Arden.  Ex-husband of Rachelle Chauvin of Kingston.  Son of Mildred and William Murdoch both predeceased.  Dear brother to Don (Louise), Bob (predeceased), and Larry (Cheryl) and sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Carleton University, and Kingston native, Jim loved all things photography and planes, often combining the two.  He was an avid member of the Kingston Radio Control Modellers and enjoyed flying radio-controlled planes.  When not doting on his "furbabies", reading, going for walks, riding his bike, or feeding his birds, Jim worked on his legacy music collection.

At Jim’s request, there will be no funeral visitation or service.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.  https://alzheimer.ca/en

Cremation will take place in Barrie, Ontario; arrangements are entrusted to “Peaceful Transition Funeral Service”. "

I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a wonderful man and always had us laughing when he would come to visit with his beloved furbaby. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
