MacGillivray, Marjorie Jean

Our mother, Aunt Jean to many of her friends, passed away  in her 93^rd year, surrounded by love on October 17,2018. Her legacy is her family and her friends. Much loved wife of the late Scott MacGillivray, dear mother to Patricia Carroll (Barry Davenport) of Toronto/Collingwood, Don Carroll (Natalia) of PEI and loving stepmother to Meran Farmer (Doug) of Owen Sound.

Predeceased by her son Bruce Carroll (Anne Shea) of Hilton Head, SC , her parents Bruce and Beatrice Robinson of Little Shemogue, NB, her sister Myrtle Hayward (late Roy), and her brother Irvin Robinson (late Marion). Grandmother to Emily Carroll (Daniel Groll) , Scott Farmer (Sherry), Justin Farmer (Crystal),David Brown (Judy), Darrin Brown (Angela),Paul Davenport, Andrew Graham (Tara) and great-grandmother to Eleanor, Aubin, Austin, Myles, Elyse, Luke and Emma.

She will be fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Dorothy MacKinnon (mother of Emily) of Costa Rica/France,  and by her many nieces and nephews.

We would like to recognize the support, attention and friendship given over the years to Mom by St Andrew’s Church. Special thanks to the staff at Grove Park Home  for the truly exceptional care, for the love and the dignity they showed . Mom was blessed to have spent her last eight years in her "happy place" she called home.

A memorial service will be held November 8, 2018 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 47 Owen St., Barrie. Sharing of happy memories at 12 noon, service at 12:45 followed by refreshments at the Church.
