Jeannie Adrienne Overink

December 31, 1953 - May 2, 2026

Funeral Details: Private family arrangements

Passed away peacefully with family at her side on May 2, 2026, at the age of 72 years.  Daughter of the late Adrian and Theresa.  Beloved wife of John for 50 years.  Loving mother of Krista (Scott), Maegan (Domenic), and her adoptive son, Michael.  Cherished grandma and maman to Ethan.  Dear sister of Lynda (Graham), and the late Claire and Margaret.  She was grandmother to her much-loved grand-dogs, Luna, Mallow, and Joy.

Jeannie was a loving and caring person who devoted herself to those around her.  She was known to be a tremendous cook, and people always felt loved and welcomed in her presence.  Thoughtful and selfless, Jeannie never complained and always put others first.  Many hoped to have her as their own mother, as she had a way of making everyone feel special and cared for.  Everything beautiful reflected who she was.

Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Peaceful Transition.

Though I had the privilege of meeting Jeannie only a handful of times, she was always warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. She was a truly sweet person who left a lasting impression

Howard & I wish to offer our deepest sympathy to all the family. Jeannie was one of a kind with her big caring heart, kindness, compassion & how she fought so hard during her battle with cancer. She was loved by all who had the privilege to know her. She was a very special cousin & friend to me. Every summer in our childhood our family would go to La Tuque to visit Jeannie & Lynda where many special times & memories were made. Jeannie moved to Penetanguishene in her later teens & came to live with us until she married John. We were maid-of-honor at each others wedding. We shared many happy & sad times together which only made us even closer. I loved Jeannie so very much & she will live on in my heart forever. Sending you all love, hugs & strength during this very difficult time.
