Joan Marie Grosse (nee Spencer)

March 6, 1931 - January 12, 2022

Funeral Details: A private celebration of life will be held in the spring

Joan passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022.  While we mourn her passing, we are so grateful to have had her with us for nearly 91 years.  Joan is greatly missed and remembered lovingly by her husband of 72 years Robert and their five children Joanne (late Albert), Patricia (David), the late Robert (Shirley), Timothy (Kim), and Merribeth (Brian).  She leaves behind 13 grandchildren Ryan, Tim, Jeff (Kim), Lauren (Tim), Robert (Sabrina), Rebecca, Connor, Chelsea (Donald), Brittany (Tyler), Jordan (Kassidy), Michael (Maria Su), Emily (Ryan) and Alison as well as nine great grandchildren Halley, Sofia, Ellie, Peighton, Jack, Finley, Odin, Thompson and Graeme.

Joan was a kind, empathetic person who generously shared her time and amazing talents.  She leaves behind a legacy of those who she taught to appreciate cooking, baking, knitting, gardening, painting, sewing and playing the piano.  Joan will always be remembered for her incredible energy, her love of a good debate and her exceptional life well-lived.

    Joanne, Tim,Ryan and families I just would like to send my deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your mother. She will never be forgotten by her memories you shared with others. Heaven has just recieved an angel and they will be so happy to have her on their team. I know that loosing a mother is so hard to accept, but all we can do is continue on like she would of wanted you all to do.. May God find peace for your family and yourself and comfort to hold your hand and listen to your prayers..
