Jack is our beloved big brother. All our lives he has kept his extended family close to his heart and us to his. We could always be our individual selves freely with Jack. He always brought good times and laughter into our lives and even comforting laughter through seasons of sorrow. Our eldest brother taught us acceptance, grace, compassion, integrity and commitment to family and community. I can only imagine the grand reunion in heaven with parents, loved ones and the jovial brothers teasing and laughter, wish I could have been there but one day know I will. To Brenda and Barb you have blessed your mom and dad so much and made Jack so greatful and proud right to the very end here on earth. Flo Coles

Although I haven’t been in touch with Jack for a few years now, I am saddened by his passing, we became friends shortly after my moving to Orillia in the late sixties, our friendship was forged through me cutting his hair for many years, and of course it was always a great pleasure to meet up with him whether be at the golf course or on his beloved Main Street of Orillia, always friendly and helpful in anyway possible, a great sense of humour and particularly fond of practical jokes,, of course his immense love of golf and passion for sports of all kinds made him the go to guy when anything sports related was happening,, My sincere condolences to his entire family, friends and the many people who knew and loved him. Andy: my Dad and I had a few conversations about you as I was trimming his hair. He never did find a replacement for you. A few mishaps and communication on the length above his ears.
Thank you for sharing. Your thoughts and memories they bring such comfort.❤️

We are so sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. We knew Jack for decades and he and Sharon stood up for us at our wedding in 1977. Our condolences to family. Dennis first met Jack at the ‘Cooch’ golf course back in the late 50s when they were looking for caddy jobs. Golf and refereeing hockey were his passions. He will be missed!

As a good friend of Jack’s daughters Brenda and Barbie, I was hired by Jack alongside them to work at the Bata shoe store in the Orillia Square Mall. That was 45 years ago and he remains one of my all time favourite bosses. Always a great sense of humour and never a harsh word. He was a most committed and caring father to Brenda and Barb. My heartfelt condolences to them, Sharon and all the extended family.
