It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Widdicks on March 25, 2024 in Barrie, ON at Royal Victoria Hospital. He was 88 years old.
John was born in Belleville, ON and lived in Trenton, ON most of his life.
He is predeceased by his wife Eva (Boldrick). He is also predeceased by his parents James and Carrie (Jordison) and his siblings Carol, Frank and Barbara (Nutley).
He is survived by his children Lisa and Derek (Tracy) and his grandchildren Jordan (Jenna) and Lindsay.
John was a longtime member of Ironworker’s Local 721 and was very proud of his work building bridges and buildings all over Ontario.
He also had many interests and hobbies including archery, softball, hockey and skiing, a love of the outdoors and a love of building things. He was always curious and interested in doing new things.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Interment will take place at the Whites Cemetery in Trenton, ON.
