Passed away suddenly at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the age of 79 years. Loving husband of Jeanne Ratelle (nee Dorion) for 28 years. Dear father of Charlene, John and Connie. Beloved step father of Wendy, Gail and Roy.
Cherished grandpa to Amanda, Tamara, Brett, Samantha, Shanna, Kaylee, Douglas, Jennifer, Jake, Jasmine, Ryan, Renee, Vanessa, Natacha, Chance and Julia. Adored great-grandfather to Austin, Mia, Ave, Carson, Colton, Kassie and Kaylee.
John has gone to join his brothers and sisters Rita, Doreen, Morris, Henry, Rene, and Gerald and is survived by his sister Lorance.
He was known for his laughter and jokes that made people smile. He was fondly remembered for playing guitar and his passion for Country music. He will be sadly missed by all his extended family and friends he embraced over the years.
A private viewing has taken place at Peaceful Transitions, Barrie for immediate family followed by cremation. A Celebration of John’s life and internment at Midhurst Union Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
