Joyce Stewart-Scott

December 23, 1924 - January 11, 2021

Funeral Details:

Joyce Stewart-Scott passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.  Joyce was born on December 23, 1924 in Greenwich, England to Albert & Florence Galpin.  In 1955, she, her husband Norman Stewart, and their children emigrated to Canada, eventually settling in Aurora, Ontario.  Joyce lived a vibrant and very full life.  She was an active member of the local amateur theatre groups in both Aurora and Sandy Cove Acres in Innisfil.  She also loved to play bridge, and enjoyed travelling.  She is pre-deceased by her parents and her siblings in England (Ted, Audrey & Betty), her first husband, Norman Stewart and her second husband Ronald Scott.  Joyce is survived by her loving children Lesley Frappier (Rudy) of Atlanta, GA; John Stewart (Kathleen) of Holland Landing, ON; and Cathryn Stewart (George Kramer) of Innisfil, ON.  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Adria Howell (Mark), Michel Frappier (Laura McIntosh), Sean Stewart (Meredith), Todd Stewart (Rhonda), John Kramer (Amy Klein), Daniel Kramer, and John Maracle, as well as her 10 great-grandchildren.  The family wishes to thank the exceptional staff of I.O.O.F. Heritage Place for the loving care that Joyce received from them.  Also, many thanks are extended to Dr. Doorly, Dr. Ali, Dr. Dickson, and the nurses and PSWs who provided compassionate care and support.  A memorial will be held at a later date.  Joyce had a very kind heart, and so it was her wish that donations to the charity of your choice in her memory in lieu of flowers would be appropriate.  Online condolences www.peacefultransition.ca
