June Margaret Willerton (nee Allison) passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, on January 14th, surrounded by loving family.  Beloved wife of David for 56 years.  Mother to Clare (Gareth), and Stephanie.  Granny of four and Great-Granny of one.  Pre-deceased by her parents Edna and Ralph and her brothers Peter (Celia) and Raymond.

June loved her garden, sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking bread from scratch and travelling in their motorhome.  June was born in York, England in 1947 and moved to Canada in 1975. Putting down roots in Barrie, Ontario, where she and David raised their children, worked and made a life.  June’s British roots were important to her, and she was well connected in The Barrie British Club.

A family memorial will take place in England at a future date.  The family would like to thank RVH and Hospice Simcoe for their exceptional care.  Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice Simcoe.

    It was quite the surprise for David and family

    So many memories that I have shared with June. She was a sister to me with all the attributes of being the best of the best !

    I will miss you so much. Our world will be very different now !

    When someone you loved has become a Memory ,
    Their Memory has become a treasure .

    You will always be mine.
