Katherine “Kathy” Agnes Loranger (nee Coleman)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Katherine “Kathy” Agnes Loranger (nee Coleman) on July 6, 2019, peacefully, at Grove Park Home in Barrie, Ontario.

Predeceased by her husband, Gerard (Gerry) Loranger, beloved mother to Terry (Pearl), Brian (Shirley) and Vicki Thisdelle (Paul) and mother in law to Janice. Kathy was predeceased by her sons Tim and Doug and her grandson Timothy.

Kathy will forever remain in the cherished memories of her grandchildren Angel, Rose (Leon), Sherrie, Gerry, Tyson (Kirsten), Danielle, Katelyn, Emma, Sandy (Adam), Norman (Brooke) and Brandon as well as 13 great grandchildren.

Born on August 19th, 1947 to Rose Albany and David Coleman, both predeceased. Kathy is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Hawley, Marlene Vatcher and Rosemarie (Dan) Morrison and her brother Norman (Deb) Coleman. Aunt “Chee Chee” will also be fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews.

Kathy loved the outdoors, camping, attending pow wows and will be fondly remembered for all the adventures in blueberry picking and her famous blueberry pies.

Kathy was actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous celebrating sobriety for over 35 years and helped many people live a better life “one day at a time”.

Kathy was a gentle soul who will be missed by everyone who knew her. The memory of her doing her “wee jig” whenever she heard classic country music will forever remain in our hearts.
