I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Kathy at St. Mary’s. Her kindness, sense of humour and warmth always made the work days so much better. Her love of all things Christmas brings her to my thoughts every year as I am decorating. My condolences to you all as I know she will be greatly missed. She was an amazing woman.

Dear Kathryn, I have many fond childhood memories of your mom. Her watching us swim in your backyard pool while chatting on the cordless phone. Her playing Aladdin on the Sega Genesis in her room and sometimes letting us play. Her and Bob patiently watching us perform dance routines in your basement rec room. Her having not one, but two Christmas trees: one in the basement for crafts you and Brent made and one upstairs in the living room which was obviously decorated for style alone. Her searching your house for the whereabouts of your tiny dog. Her being especially kind to me when, at my very first sleepover, I asked to go home in the middle of the night. I remember her making me feel very special when her and my paths crossed at St. Monica’s. I also remember that sometimes she wore high heels and leather pants at St. Monica’s which might still be the coolest fashion choice that school has ever seen. Your mom was great. I hope these memories make you smile at what must be a sad time.

Kathy and I became friends through work at St Mary’s School. Her amazing sense of humour, great laugh and kindness were her gift to everyone who knew her. We had many long talks over the time I knew her and I will remember her always. She loved her family deeply and her work was her extended family. She will be missed so much by all those who knew her. Rest in peace my friend ❤️
