Kenneth Bruce Morris

July 4, 1969 - August 26, 2019

Funeral Details: Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 21, 2019 between 1-5 p.m. Barrie Christian Fellowship, 250 Bayview Drive, unit 7, Barrie

Passed away suddenly on August 26, 2019 at 10:41 pm at the age of 50.  He was a loving husband to Donna Morris and wonderful father to Sydney (Steavin) Stoffers, Eden Morris and Donovan Morris.  Adoring grandfather to Ezekiel Morris.  Ken is survived by his sister Kim (Jim) Munshaw, and Grandmother Phyllis Robson.  He was a memorable uncle to Ciara Gomez, Marcus and Bryan Jones and Crystal and Jamie Munshaw.  His presence will be greatly missed by his church family at Barrie Christian Fellowship.

His words of kindness and encouragement will be terribly missed by everyone who was blessed to have him in their lives.

With his unofficial title of “daddy to the world”, this loving man will live on in the hearts and minds of all the special young people he took under his wing to teach, encourage and love.  It would be his wish that his incomparable capacity for kindness and gentleness be carried on through the actions of all the lives he touched simply by each one doing one kind, unselfish thing every day.   His sincere hope is that each and every one of you continue to thrive and find success on your own terms.  Please remember the encouragement he gave you and know he sincerely believed in every one of you.

Ken is in Heaven, dancing with Jesus as he wanted to dance on earth.  He is no longer in any pain and is, I’m sure, absolutely thrilled to be reunited with his mother Joan Morris, grandad Garnet Robson and father-in-law Kyle Lawrence.

He is now one of the cloud of witnesses in Hebrews 12:1 that cheer us on as we run this race we call “life”.

Ken’s Celebration of Life will be held on September 21, 2019 at his beloved church Barrie Christian Fellowship, between 1:00pm and 5:00pm.  The address is 250 Bayview Drive, Unit 7 in Barrie, Ontario, where he made his home with his wife.  Those who knew Ken, knew he was not a traditional type of guy.  Because of this, his celebration will not be traditional either.  There will be an open mic for the entire 4 hours.  Feel free to come by, some will be singing songs, some will be sharing memories, others will just quietly pay their respects.  Come and stay for a short time or a long time, it is totally up to you.  There will be pictures, slide shows and poetry presented throughout the afternoon.

Ken was a great example for opening his house to everyone. Feed them, teach them the ways of the Lords. It was a very special God given gift. Thank you Ken
