Passed away after a brief illness on September 27, 2025, at the age of 61 years.  Daughter of the late Verna and stepfather Roy.  Very special and much-loved wife of David for 31 years.  Loving mother of Trevor and proud grandmother of his son, Joey.  She will also be deeply missed by her faithful dogs, Giz and Marley, who remained by her side to the end.

Lana was a beloved niece to many aunts and uncles with whom she shared close bonds, and she was a special daughter-in-law to the late Harvey and Edna.

A resident of Innisfil for the past 26 years, Lana made Innisfil her home.  She and David shared a passion for motorcycle adventures, spending over 20 years exploring Canada and the USA together.  Their travels included memorable trips to Newfoundland, the Smoky Mountains, New Brunswick, Daytona Beach, and many more.  Along the way, they built countless friendships, connections, and memories.  Above all, Lana’s greatest joy was her family.

A private cremation has taken place.  Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, October 19th, 2025 from 1 pm until the time of Service in the Chapel at 2 pm.  A Livestream of the service will be made available by clicking here.  Guests are invited to remain for a reception following the Service inside the lower lounge.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alliston & District Humane Society (Click Here to Donate), a cause very close to Lana’s heart.  Together with a close group of friends, Lana dedicated much time and effort to fundraising in support of this Humane Society.  Her love of all animals was a big part of Lana’s heart.

sending our love and sincere condolences to you all. If love and care could have saved her she would surely still be here because you gave her the absolute best. You are a hero my friend. She was so strong and brave, but it’s so hard to watch someone you love in so much pain. Effin cancer the evilest of all demons 😡

Our entire family are forever grateful to you buddy and so very sad for loss❤️Lana was a beautiful fun loving gem and will be sorely missed. I am so thankful you both allowed me to come visit on Tuesday. It was hard to contain emotions but we needed to see her, see you both. Thank you for that.

Keep your happy memories close, they will never be taken away and in time will bring you comfort and even laughs. But now, take your time to grieve…

Take care and reach out anytime. I know Go will be checking in on you and giving updates❤️

Much love from myself and Fred

    Forever our Sister’s Keeper.

We will always remember someone who was so dear to us, our friend, our companion, our Babe’s sister—Lana.

Lana was a gentle soul, full of kindness and warmth. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, understood, and cared for. Whether through her laughter, her thoughtful words, or her quiet presence, Lana reminded us of the beauty in simple moments shared together.

She loved deeply and lived with a soft heart, especially when it came to animals. Her compassion for them reflected who she truly was a nurturing, protective spirit who believed in unconditional love. The way she cared for every creature, big or small, spoke volumes about her character and the tenderness she carried within her.

To us, she was more than a friend—she was our Sister. She was someone you could lean on, someone who would listen, someone whose light lifted us in times of darkness. Lana had that rare ability to touch lives in ways that will never fade.

While our hearts are heavy with grief, we also hold gratitude for the time we were blessed to share with her. The memories of our rides together, her kindness, her humor, her loyalty, and her love will live on in each of us.

Lana may no longer ride beside us, but she remains forever a part of our open road journeys. We will carry her spirit forward, in the way we treat each other, in the way we honor animals and the world she loved so much, and in the way we remember to cherish each moment as a gift.

Rest peacefully, dear Lana. You will always be Babe’s sister, our friend, our sweet soul. We love you, and we will never forget you.

Alliston & District Humane Society would like to extend our most sincere sympathy to Lana’s family and friends. She was a wonderful person: enthusiastic and funny, hard-working and very committed to animal welfare and fundraising for our shelter.
Lana initially came out to the ADHS shelter with the members of her women’s motorcycle group The Babes to check us out. They toured, walked some dogs, came to a board meeting and started to enthusiastically raise money for our animals Lana was my main contact with this group and Christine and Tim. She was so helpful, friendly, and committed! Together these folks raised a huge amount of money that went directly to providing great veterinarian care to the many broken, and injured animals that come to us every year.
Kant’s famous quote “ We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.” reminds me of Lana. Both her heart and her actions reflected her strong belief in the sanctity of animal lives.

There isn’t a day , there isn’t a night that goes by you are clearly on my mind, and in my thoughts daily. I feel your presence, I feel your spirit ,it’s loud and clear. Each day I go out for my walk, I look up in the sky and I see you looking down and saying everything’s going to be okay. I am not in pain anymore, I am at peace….Love you ♥️🙏You are an amazing spirit that will shine on forever and shine on us all. We will meet again my friend . God needs you now.
