It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Larry Walker (Dash, Big Lar, Hank, PaPa/Grumpa), surrounded by his family, Erin (Look) (wife), Matthew, Taylor, Kaitlyn, River, Michael, Maria and Maximus, in a room decked out with Steelers décor, his Steelers hat, favorite jersey and Terrible towel in hand, on Tuesday August 5th, 2025, at Royal Victoria Hospital.

Larry was predeceased by his Mother Elizabeth (Murphy), Father Clifford and leaves behind his sisters Maureen and Evelyn, his Nieces Laurie, Shari and Stacey whom he was extremely proud of and his Mother-In-Law Beverley.

Larry was a true original-- a man who lived life with grit, heart, and humour. A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Larry could always be found wearing his Black and Gold on game days, cheering on his team with unmatched loyalty along with his buddy Kieran (who rarely missed a game with Larry) and Dave (his twin).

Larry enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, a cold Canadian, a good round of Golf, and Leaf playoff games with his Buddies who meant the world to him (Paul, Kieran, Maurizio, Wayne, Ang and neighbor Matt) at Paul and Lissa’s house where he always felt most comfortable.

Larry was a proud Sr. Construction, Health and Safety Consultant with the TRH Group until his retirement a few years ago. Larry was always very grateful for the many golfing trips his Boss (and friend) Mark took him on where the laughs and experiences were endless.

Larry will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind memories that will be cherished, and a legacy of friendship, loyalty and love for all the little things that made life great.

A huge thank you to the fabulous staff in Surgery 3 and Step Down (Ivana, Catherine, Chris, Sara, Moriah, Irena, Kelsie and Natasha) last but certainly not least Dr Rio Azam who spent so much time with us sharing her knowledge and thoughts during a very difficult decision-making period. Dr. Azodoh thank you for keeping Larry comfortable in his last few days.

In honour of Larry, crack open a cold one, throw on your favourite Steelers Jersey and toast a life well lived

Here’s to you Larry—Forever on the field, the golf course and in our hearts!

No words can express how heartbroken I am. Sending my deepest condolences, love and so many hugs. Even tho it’s been a long while since I got the privilege to hang out/get reemed out by Larry I will never forget growing up in and out of the walker house… and with the (chalmers/benson) crossroad kids. I will never forget our Christmas Eve night’s together. Especially when you got my dad Duncan so drunk he walked home barefoot on Christmas Eve singing Christmas carols at 2/3am.. you will never be forgotten and you will always be in my heart. May you finally rest peacefully, forever. See you in the next life with a couple of cold ones! Love you 🤍
