It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laure Catherine Foster, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on February 27, 2025, at the age of 70. Daughter of the late Piers and Patricia Gray. Loving mother of Lee (Darryld), Kevin, and Kailyn. Much loved grandma “mama” of Katherine (Elliott), Kirsten, and great grandma of Sage. Dear sister of Chris (Marie), Elizabeth, and Janet. Laure will also be missed and remembered by her lifetime friendships with the ladies from W.I.T.T., where she found happiness, love, and support.
Laure’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family defined her life. She was a wonderful mother who always put others before herself. She was a caring and protective sister. An exceptionally organized person, she kept everything in order and was always thinking of others which led to her career as an Employment Specialist from her love of helping others, making many more friendships from her time with Northern Lights/Agilec.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. El-Maraghi, Dr. Krishnan, Dr. Winfield, the Cancer Palliative Unit at RVH, Dr. Ohson, Susan Hess from MAID, and Dr. Douglas for their compassionate support throughout her journey.
In accordance with Laure’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Those who wish to honor her memory may consider a donation to Hospice Simcoe.

Posted on: Friday, March 7, 2025Sending so much love to you, Lee and the entire family. Your mom was a special part of my life through her friendship with my mom and the other WITT ladies. They showed us how to love and support the women in our lives. It was a special treat to see your mom every Canada Day and she will be especially missed and remembered this year. May your memories bring you peace and heal your heart, honey. Jen

Posted on: Friday, March 7, 2025I was deeply saddened to hear about Laure’s passing. She was a remarkable woman who touched many lives, and her memory will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ve known Laure since high school at Riverdale and was maid of honor at her wedding. Even though we lived thousands of miles apart, we still kept in touch all these years. Her strength, kindness, and courage, particularly during her long battle with cancer, was truly inspiring.
During this difficult time, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family.
In deepest sympathy, Pam

Posted on: Friday, March 7, 2025My sincere condolences to Lee, and Laure’s entire family at this sad time. Laure was one of the bravest and courageous ladies I have ever met during my lifetime. She battled cancer for 19 years, she fought the fight, I have so much admiration for her strength and determination.
Laure, Anne-Marie and I remained the best of friends, long after our years to gether at Northern Lights ended. Laure always referred to us as the three Amigos.
She will be sadly missed by many, she is gone but will never be forgotten.
Heaven gained another angel, fly high Laure and spread your wings. Until we meet again, my beloved friend.

Posted on: Friday, March 7, 2025Dear Lee. I am so sad for your loss of your Mom. I met her many years ago through my sister Linda and Jen and have the fondest memories of her. She was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I have a picture of her at the blood donor clinic from a long time ago. Always a giver. If I had trouble sleeping I’d go on Facebook in the middle of the night and often Laure would be there and we’d have a chat. I always looked forward to seeing Laure at Jen’s on Canada Day. Another great opportunity to chat. She was always a delightful woman to be around. You have lost a very special Mom. Cherish your memories and know that you were a much loved and wonderful daughter. Hugs.
