It is with a sense of loss that I acknowledge the passing of Larry, as the last of two generations of McArthurs whom I observed and learned-from as a youth in the rural community of Oro Station.

His mother and dad were highly respected in Oro Township, and I was a good friend of his older brother, Doug – we attended elementary school together and we ‘hung-out as friends’ during our teen years.

It is a humble honour to acknowledge and celebrate two generations of McArthurs in the Community of Oro Station: they were an interesting, dynamic and productive family.

Our deepest condolences to the family after Larry’s passing. I have fond memories of “Big Larr” from our younger years and know his family loved him very much and he was so proud of them. Cherish all the memories and know he lives on in your hearts. Much love, Deb Johnston and family, Sooke, BC
