Funeral Details: Private Family Arrangements

It is with profound sadness, that we have to announce the passing of Leah.  After fighting the battle of her life for 2 years, against Cancer (multiple myeloma), she passed away with her loved ones by her side at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, On.  Predeceased by her loving father Ernest “Ernie” MacLeod and lovingly remembered by her mother Lynne (Britt) MacLeod, and forever missed by her sister, Dawn.

Leah and her best friend and loyal partner, Dave Harflett, were in the process of building a life together but was sadly cut short.  Dave will miss Leah and cherish her always.

"Uncle Buck" will be sadly missed by her nephews Cadao and Kai and their father Henry Krans.  Leah was very excited to become an aunt and was very proud of her nephews.

She will be fondly remembered by her aunts and uncles and many cousins.  From a young age, Leah and all her cousins had many dance parties in the basements, in the back of the station wagon, at their sleepovers, and at the "Organ Grinder".  Many special memories were made.

Leah had many friends near and far and she will be deeply missed by them.  Her smile, laughter, singing, "screaming", dance parties, drumming and the way she loved, is why Leah was so cherished in life and why she will be forever missed.

Her whole life, Leah was a force of nature, she was one of a kind.  She was extremely artistic -from sketching and painting to photography, to hair and makeup artistry - her natural talent shone through.  And even her career in Dentistry.

Leah's lifelong love of music led her to learning to play the drums and becoming a part of several different bands.  Not only did Leah master drumming but she also sang and wrote lyrics for the band.

Her love and extreme compassion for animals, her fiercely independent spirit and her loyalty to her loved ones, are what made Leah who she was and we will miss her shining light.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Leah in the near future - date and time to be announced.
