Funeral Details: A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date

Lois Anne Nicholls

October 5th, 1945 - March 18th, 2021

Retired PT/OT with North York Branson and Scarborough General hospital, Physio and occupational therapist professor at U of T.  Went home peacefully with family by her side.  Loving mother to Jeff Reid (Leanne), grandma to Brandon, Quinlan and Meagan.  Survived by her brother Michael and sister Karen (Ralph), Auntie to James (Emily), Ben (Morgan).  Wife of Terry Nicholls (predeceased).  She will be deeply missed by her Dcat and drum corps family and all of her close friends.  She always loved performing and singing, especially in the Macy’s day parade.  Memorial donations can be made to the Toronto Children’s Choir.  Flowers are welcome as mother Lois loved to garden and always loved having plants and flowers in her room.  She would always say they were “gorgeous”.  We would like to thank everyone who has helped during this journey.

“Keep Smiling”, and remember, “God don’t make junk”

Celebrations to be determined and held at a later date.  Online condolences and memories may be made at www.peacefultranstion.ca

Only knew Lois since she moved to Barrie.
We had a lovely afternoon and enjoyed a couple of beer together 🍺 during a family gathering in Collingwood.
    Truly enjoyed her company.

A couple of years after Lois had her stroke I decided to surprise her with a New Year’s Eve Fun night.
We went to Fran’s for dinner, to Massey Hall to see Man of La Mancha, then walked to the Hard Rock Café on Yonge Street.
The waiter we had was sad because he couldn’t be with his friends. After he walked away I said to Lois let’s do something really special! We talked to all the other patrons and asked if we could all get into a huge circle and sing “Auld Lang Syne”. We did and it was magical! When we were leaving our waiter said.” Now I know why I was supposed to be here. You two ladies made a New Year’s Eve I’ll never forget! Everyone hugged us and thanked us as we left. Walking up Yonge Street Lois said, as we did a high five, “We made a lot of people happy tonight! A moment in time that will live with me and many others forever!
